Association of Residential Managing Agents

Members' Area

Our Annual Conference will be held on Wednesday 18th October 2017 and this year’s event will continue to be the residential leasehold sector’s largest annual event.

The ARMA Conference is an essential diary date for anyone involved in the management of leasehold residential property. It offers:

  • The sector’s ‘go to’ conference where you will feel the pulse of the industry
  • An in-depth look at the latest issues affecting property management
  • Detailed analysis of the current technical and legal matters
  • Expert and engaging industry speakers dealing with the key topics of the day
  • An opportunity to debate with, and get answers from, the speakers and fellow delegates
  • The ideal networking environment.

Conference and Dinner are open to members and non-members and will be held at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel, on the south bank of the River Thames and overlooking Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament.

Our theme is ‘Managing the Future’, where we will be exploring how we can manage factors within our direct control and help shape the economic and political changes that affect our sector.

We have a full and exceptional programme of speakers specially tailored to our sector.

The Rt. Hon. Sajid Javid MP, Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, will be presenting the Government's latest thinking on the key issues affecting the sector - the Grenfell Tower tragedy and the implications for the private sector, and potential changes in Leasehold Law.

Professor Michael G Jacobides from the London Business School will be discussing the economic and political uncertainties and considering the technological, regulatory and competitive forces driving our sector and shaping customer service expectations. He will provide some thought-provoking observations on the future of the sector and how we can shape it. He will conclude by showing how individual firms can rethink and better explain the added value they provide.

Session topics will include ARMA’s strategic future, the management of mixed-use developments, reinstatement cost assessments, a legal update from top barristers, and a detailed discussion and expert panel debate on what can be learned from Commonhold.

In a change from previous years, Dinner will be held after Conference. Our popular post-Conference drinks reception will remain a key feature of this year's event.

Conference will start at 10.00 and finish at 17.10. Dinner will be from 18.30.
