16th October 2014|POSTED BY: Admin

The Association of Residential Managing Agents (ARMA) is pleased to announce that Watson Property Management Limited has won the prestigious ARMA-Q Award 2014 for excellence in residential property management.

Watson earned the national award for going the extra mile in helping leaseholders in a West Yorkshire block of flats (Millroyd Mill) that faced a myriad of problems including serious water ingress, fire, anti-social behaviour and vandalism. Alongside all that Watson also completed significant improvement measures to save energy and expenditure whilst dramatically improving the quality of presentation and services delivered throughout the block.

Michelle Banks, ARMA CEO said: “The resourcefulness and commitment that Watson Property Management demonstrates in supporting the needs of those living in Millroyd Mill makes them very worthy winners of ARMA-Q 2014. They epitomise the spirit of ARMA-Q, which promotes the highest possible standard of professionalism in residential leasehold management.”

Speaking on behalf of his fellow residents of Brighouse based Millroyd Mill about the service they receive from Watson, Alex Pickford said: ”The improvement works Watson have undertaken at Millroyd Mill have certainly made a big difference. They have been brilliant in handling a number of difficult and sensitive situations and we no longer worry when it rains thanks to Watson’s hard work and diligence.”

Chris Wiles – Associate Director of Watson Property Management and Ian Omant – Watson’s Senior Surveyor managing Millroyd Mill were presented with the award trophy by ARMA’s new Chairman Martin Perry in front of more than 500 delegates at the ARMA annual conference today.

Chris said:” Watson is absolutely delighted and honoured to have been recognised for our achievements through such a highly sought after accolade as the ARMA-Q award. It is a great testimony to each and every one of our outstanding members of staff who consistently provide the highest possible levels of service, and a wonderful way for us to demonstrate that Watson operate to the highest standards within the industry.”

ARMA-Q 2013 winner - Homestead Consultancy Services Ltd, is this year a close runner up to Watson, and has been awarded Highly Commended for significantly improving a run down Blackpool block of flats (Crescent Court) in a cost effective, resourceful and leaseholder inclusive manner. Homestead CSL did not just effect repairs but created super efficient buildings in terms of insulation and performance thus reducing running and maintenance costs.

David Bentham, Managing Director and Sandra Jagger, Accounts Director of Homestead CSL received a certificate from ARMA Chairman Martin Perry at today’s ARMA annual conference.
