4G Broadband and TV reception

summary

The introduction of 4G broadband is predicted to interfere with TV reception, particularly for Freeview services. Up to 2.3 million households across the UK could be affected, including 550,000 households linked to communal TV aerials such as blocks of flats. Cable or satellite TV will not be affected.

at800 is the organisation responsible for ensuring people continue to receive Freeview television when 4G mobile is launched. The organisation is funded by the UK mobile operators that will provide 4G services. at800 will send information to those whose TV reception may be affected.
